An Electronics Engineer by profession,Navin completed the Insomnia ProDJ School under the guidance of DJ Sean.Having first starting out on his DJ career at Alibi Restobar in Bangalore,India his first experiences of being a DJ was playing Rock and Retro. Since then he has been DJ-ing for various venues such as Zero-G, Pinxx, Paparazzi (both located at the Royal Orchid Central,Bangalore) through the years, playing the more commercial tunes from Funky to Vocal house. After acquiring the resident DJ position at Insomnia(Le-Meridien, Bangalore) for a while, Navin took on the role of the resident DJ position at Sutra(Grand Ashok ,Bangalore),his longest residency lasting until he left the country to pursue further studies in the audio field.It was during his term at Sutra,that he was influenced by Electro House, and started tuning his sets towards the same.During this time he also did shows at various venues such as Hypnos, Nyx, Athena(Leela Palace, Bangalore), Geoffreys(Royal Orchid ,Bangalore) ,Tuscan Verve and other clubs in Bangalore, as well as doing heaps of corporate parties for various multi-national companies.He was also involved with the Insomnia ProDJ school in Bangalore as an instructor. Having played with various top DJ's in India, he was influenced by their styles of music, and slowly moved into playing more of Minimal /Techno /Tech-house.
He is currently studying Audio Engineering in Byron Bay,Australia, and has played the role of producer for various local bands and artists. Having done shows at venues such as the The Australian Hotel(Ballina), Liquid Bar and Nightclub(Byron Bay), Elsewhere Bar(Gold Coast) to name a few, Navin is also a regular at the Maladjusted Records events such as The Legends of Rock festival (Byron Bay) and both Off the Beat'n track concerts.Navin was also responsible in handling the live sound logistics and stage management for these two events too. His creativity doesnt stop at just audio, Navin was very much involved with managing the online content for Maladjusted records, the design and management of this website as well poster design for all the company's events.
